The Administration of the Chisinau City Hall commemorated the victims of the 1903 Jewish Pogrom.
The Municipality of Chisinau informs that on February 7, 2024, the "B. P. Hasdeu" Municipal Library will mark the International Reading Together Day (IRTD), also known as World Read Aloud Day.
This edition will start at the library with the theme "How to read comics". The purpose of the initiative is to bring together reading enthusiasts to celebrate the power of words and the joy of showcasing comics.
On this day, there will be a meeting with illustrator and graphic designer Octavian Curoșu, an author with vast experience in the field of comics.
During the event, the author will encourage the audience to tell stories through comics.
The event will take place at 10:00 AM in the Column Hall, the Central Headquarters of the Municipal Library, located at 148 Stefan cel Mare și Sfant Boulevard.
Additionally, a program to promote and read comics will be carried out in the branches of the "B. P. Hasdeu" network.
The "World Read Aloud Day" project was initiated by LitWorld in 2010, and in Moldova since 2018. Over time, it has evolved into a global movement celebrated in over 170 countries, bringing together millions of readers, writers, and listeners from communities around the world to enjoy the power of reading and influence the expansion of global literacy.
