The Administration of the Chisinau City Hall commemorated the victims of the 1903 Jewish Pogrom.
The Chisinau City Hall informs that the actors involved in the good performance of activities of the Municipal Center for Adult Learning and Education (MCALE) have met in a common meeting in order to total the activity of the institution during 2023, since its inauguration in April 2023.
The meeting was attended by: Deputy Mayor Angela Cutasevici, representatives of the General Department for Education, Youth and Sports, from DVV Moldova and Levan Kvatchadze - Regional Director on Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova from DVV International.
During the period: June – December 2023, were completed 4000 registration forms, and 1843 citizens attended the courses and activities of personal development, professional and civic education offered for free by MCALE, with the financial support of DVV International Moldova. At the same time, 28 trainers, experts in the field conducted 548 meetings, with total of 1842 academic hours.
The most requested courses within MCALE were English and Italian, project writing bases, designing and modeling clothing, digital skills development, photography, 1C accounting, course of business initiation, oratorical art, etc.
The Chisinau City Hall decided to continue the activity and develop the Center together with its development partners DVV Moldova in order to increase the number of beneficiaries and the diversity of programs.
MCALE will remain a public institution open to every adult, residents of Chisinau who aspire to realize their educational needs and change their lives in the sense of a better future through permanent education and development, regardless of social status and education.
The Municipal Center for Adult Learning and Education is based on the Memorandum of mutual understanding and cooperation between the Chisinau City Hall and the Representation of the German Association for Adult Education in the Republic of Moldova PA „DVV International Moldova” with the aim of achieving the fourth objective of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that is to promote the value of adult learning and education and lifelong learning.
Currently, about 150 people participate in MCALE courses, held 2-3 times a week.
