The Chisinau City Hall informs that the buildings of the capital's educational institutions, the theoretical high school "Spiru Haret" and the theoretical high school "Alexandr Pushkin", are in the process of rehabilitation.

These projects are an initiative of educational institutions and are financed from the funds provided in the municipal budget. These include work to strengthen facades and insulate the walls of buildings.

Currently, work is being carried out of the exterior walls of the Theoretical Lyceum "Spiru Haret" in the Maria Cebotari street, on an area of 800 m2, including the rehabilitation of internal and external engineering networks, toilets, locker rooms and the gym. For this purpose, 2.67 million lei were allocated from the municipal budget.

The first stage of works on the thermal insulation of the high school building "Alexandr Puskin" on an area of 1300 m2 is also being carried out. Initially, the project also provided for the strengthening of the metal elements of the building facade. The cost of the implemented works in the first stage is 2.1 million lei.

Ion Ceban, General Mayor, noted that after the finishing of the thermal insulation works, will have saving for heating. At the same time, the municipality is developing similar projects, especially within social institutions, which will reduce the cost of maintenance.

Thus, on October 1, 2020, Chisinau City Hall signed the first contract with the bidder of the competition (first tender/lot 4) on procurement for the rehabilitation of the buildings of six kindergartens in the municipality (No.34, No.112, No127, No146, No167 and No225) as part of the project "Energy efficiency rehabilitation of buildings".

It is worth mentioning that during October, the Chisinau City Hall also announced tenders for the other 3 lots (providing services for thermal rehabilitation of buildings), which include 3 hospitals, 14 high schools/sports schools.
