Chisinau City Hall will take part in the implementation of the trilateral project "Together against COVID - 19 - Mannheim - Chisinau - Chernivtsi" The project aims to strengthen partnerships based on pandemic solidarity and to share experiences in three cities on how to combat the phenomenon.
In the Mannheim - Chisinau - Chernivtsi trilateral collaboration, the parties aim to raise public awareness of compliance with the rules of physical distance and hygiene to reduce the spread of Covid-19 virus and replenish stocks with emergency medical equipment.
Thus, for the implementation of the project from the funds of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, the financial support will be granted, which consists a general grant (to the three cities) in the amount of 49,000 euros.
According to the project, the municipality of Chisinau will receive 18,800 euros, sources that can be used for: capacity development and skills in the partner community; conducting online workshops; purchase of medical equipment; information and awareness campaigns.
The project will take place between September 22, 2020 - June 30, 2021.
The cooperation agreement between the three cities is part of the Partnership Projects for Sustainable Local Development (NAKOPA) program funded by Engagement Global GmbH, the Service Agency Communities in One World (SKEW), by providing financial support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
