Ion Ceban, the General Mayor took part in in the reopening of the square after rehabilitation in Bucuriei street, Buiucani District on Thursday.
The project for arranging the recreational area provided for the repair of sidewalks and pedestrian alleys, the rehabilitation of green spaces, equipped with an irrigation system and the replacement of street furniture. Bicycle lanes and night lighting have also been set up in the area.
Also Bucuriei Street was reopened in the perimeter of Ion Creanga Street - H. Coanda Street to streamline the traffic.
Ion Ceban, the General Mayor appreciated the work done for the rehabilitation of the square, mentioning that the arrangements of this kind will continue with other projects. "The green areas of the city are a refuge for Chisinau residents, especially in the summer and now when we spend more time at home due to the pandemic, ," the Mayor said.
The square in Bucuriei Street has an area of 1.5 hectares, and the arrangement works lasted about 4 months. In this context, it should be mentioned that next week the landscaping works will start in the "Alunelul" park.
