    Trolleybus route number 16 has been opened with a change in route

    Chisinau City Hall informs that today, January 22, current, the trolleybus route, no. 16, with the modification of the itinerary, in order to solve the problem of transporting passengers from the area of  Maria Drăgan ,Volunteers and Factories streets, Ciocana sector.

    The trolleybus line no.16, with the name: „str. The factories - August 31, 1989 ", which ensures the connection between the Ciocana and Centru sectors, will be equipped with autonomous propulsion units.

    There will be 4 trolleybuses on the route, with an interval of 20 - 25 minutes, the total round trip time will be 90 minutes.

    The trolleybus line no. 16 will have the following itinerary:

    Tour: August 31, 1989, Alexandr Pushkin Street, Grigore Vieru Street, blvd. National Renaissance, Kiev Street, Alecu Russo Street, Meşterul Manole Street, Vadul lui Vodă Street, Maria Drăgan Street, Voluntarilor Street, Uzinelor Street - the final station.

    Return: Uzinelor street, Voluntarilor street, Maria Drăgan street, Vadul lui Vodă street, Meşterul Manole street,  Alecu Russo street, Kiev street, The National Renaissance blvd, Grigore Vieru street,  Mitropolit Gavriil Bănulescu - Bodoni blvd, August 31, 1989 street.

    Four trolleybuses are equipped with new generation rechargeable batteries, whose work lasts for 30 km of autonomous travel. Trolleybuses are equipped with air conditioning systems, 6 internal video surveillance cameras and USB for charging in each row of seats, a low floor and a ramp for people in a wheelchair.

    In this context, the General Mayor, Ion Ceban gave assurances that the buses and trolleybuses  Park will be supplemented with new transport units to serve the passengers. "We will do our best to put into circulation more vehicles, including in the suburbs. We want citizens not to walk very long to their destination".
