"A first step would be to evaluate the quality of water, in schools, kindergartens, rest camps and hospitals, afterwards we will elaborate an action plan to eliminate the detected deviations", said the Deputy Mayor.
For his part, Mr. Sergiu Sîrghi, head of NAFS, informed that during the last year, in the drinking water samples taken from the food blocks of 8 kindergartens and schools, the results of the laboratory investigations showed discrepancy of the microbiological indices in 2 suburban institutions.
At the same time, Mr. Roman Vengher, the head of the Municipal Food Safety Department, specified that in 2019, 19 unexpected controls were carried out at the educational institutions in the capital, based on petitions and the notifications by others authorities. According to the legal provisions, the quality of water and foodstuffs in educational institutions are evaluated twice per year.
