Over 2000 online complaints reported by citizens solved through EU.CHISINAU.md platform

The Chisinau City Hall informs that the municipal services have handled in 2020 over 2000 online complaints received through the EU.CHISINAU.MD platform. The electronic system was launched in April this year and is the official source of the municipality through which the citizens of the capital can report on the most urgent issues.

Thus, the problems solved refer to waste disposal; sanitation of capital’s parks and squares; evacuation of illegally placed vending booths; lack of street lighting; carrying out current maintenance in sewer networks; damage control in buildings’ basements; application of road marking, etc.

At the same time, out of the total amount of 4500 complaints filed by citizens during this year, about 500 were rejected on the grounds that they were incomplete or out of the competence of the municipality, 900 are currently being processed, and for another 400 complaints there has been initiated the examination procedure.

It is worth mentioning that most of the problems reported by citizens were recorded in the Botanica district, and the fewest complaints came from the Buiucani district.

The EU.CHISINAU.MD platform has also a mobile application. It can be downloaded for free by all mobile device owners, regardless of the operating system used (Android or iOS).

The municipality is in the process of examining all the functional irregularities and is going to identify the efficient solutions to further ensure the connection between the citizens and the Local Public Administration of Chisinau.
