Chisinau Municipality represented at the 6th UNESCO International Conference of Learning Cities
On Wednesday, Chisinau City Hall organized a cultural-artistic event to honor the memory of artists Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici, pioneers of the National Revival Movement of the 1990s, marking 32 years since their passing.
A tribute was paid to the beloved artists at the "Love Requiem" monument in Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici Square.
Ion and Doina’s songs—both romantic and patriotic, celebrating heritage and language—have shaped generations of children and are performed at most public events.
The late musicians remain a symbol of patriotism for today’s generations.
It is the responsibility of state institutions, including the City Hall, to contribute to preserving the legacy of Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici.
Chisinau City Hall supports significant cultural projects and is in the process of establishing the "Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici" Center for Culture and Art, where the treasure and memory of these great artists will be preserved.
Also today, a memorial service was held at the grave of Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici at the Central Cemetery.
