Chisinau Municipality represented at the 6th UNESCO International Conference of Learning Cities
Chisinau City Hall announces that on Saturday and Sunday (October 5-6, 2024), the 23rd edition of National Wine Day will take place in the Great National Assembly Square.
The Wine Festival has become the most representative event of the wine industry in the Republic of Moldova since its inception, held with the aim of promoting the national pride product – Moldovan Wine.
This year, the beautiful tradition of wine promotion will continue with a series of cultural and educational activities focused on fostering healthy and moderate wine consumption.
The event has also become an annual tradition, cherished by wine enthusiasts and serving as an opportunity to promote the country among tourists.
The themed events will take place in central Chisinau, in the Great National Assembly Square, within the perimeter of Maria Cebotari and Mihai Eminescu streets, as well as on adjacent streets: 31 August 1989 and Columna.
In celebration of Wine Day, exhibitions, fairs, and food product sales will be held in the city center. In the Cathedral Square of the Nativity of the Lord, there will be a Craft and Artisan Fair organized by the Union of Folk Craftsmen of Moldova, along with a beekeeping products fair.
Additionally, on Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard, between A. Pușkin and Maria Cebotari streets, there will be food sales, including soft and hot drinks, street food, catering with traditional dishes prepared on-site, wine, ice cream, pastries, and non-cream confectionery products.
The event is organized by the National Office of Vine and Wine, Media Show Group SRL, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
