Chisinau City Hall informs that starting with Monday, April 1, 2024, at 08:00, parents can submit online the documents for enrolling children in the first grade, on the platform: https://escoala.chisinau.md.

The registration procedure will take place in two stages:

First stage: April 1 – May 24, 2024. This involves submitting / completing / validating applications, documents for enrollment in the first grade of children who reach the age of 7 until September 1, 2024.

It is mandatory that the child's residence permit corresponds to the school district. The application for enrolling children in the first grade will be submitted on the https://escoala.chisinau.md platform and will be completed with the following documents:

• Child’s registration form (to be filled online, accessing the www.escoala.chisinau.md  platform);
• Identity card of the parent/legal representative of the child;
• Birth certificate of the child.

Second stage: 3 – 17 June 2024.

During the reference period, the submission/ completion/ validation of the registration documents will take place for children from the school district who will turn 7 years old by the beginning of the school year and were not registered in the first stage; for children who will turn 7 years old between September 1 and December 31, 2024 from the school district; for children from other school districts on the remaining available spots.

Exceptions for children who were not enrolled in the first grade during the two stages will be examined by the institutional and municipal committees from 20 to 30 August 2024, subject to the number of places remaining vacant.

Thus, the General Direction for Education, Youth and Sport, by directing children to institutions with available places, will ensure access to education for all children of compulsory school age.

The online registration procedure on the https://escoala.chisinau.md platform aims to:

• ensure every child's access to education;
• making the process of enrolling children in the first grade more transparent;
• minimizing corruption risks in primary and secondary education institutions, cycle I and II in Chisinau;
• optimizing the process of storing and processing the results of children’s enrolling in the first grade;
• efficient time management of employees in the municipal education system;
• monitoring the activity of educational institutions in the administered territory in the field concerned.
